MIST and BEPRC Jointly Organize Symposium on Sustainable Technologies for Bangladesh’s Clean Energy Transition
On 17 February 2026, the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC), successfully organized a symposium titled “Sustainable Technologies for Bangladesh’s Clean Energy Transition.”
The program was graced by Mr. Mohammad Wahid Hossain, ndc, Chairman (Senior Secretary), BEPRC, as the Chief Guest. Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, Commandant, MIST, attended the event as the Chief Patron. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Member (Additional Secretary), BEPRC, was present as the Special Guest.
The symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 200 students of Level-3 and Level-4 from the EECE Department, along with faculty members. The session featured five distinguished invited speakers who delivered insightful presentations on contemporary research and emerging technologies in the power and energy sector.
Key discussions focused on hydrogen energy, advanced solar cell technologies, grid–inverter interaction, and energy market dynamics. The symposium highlighted the importance of strengthened collaboration among industry, academia, and government to accelerate Bangladesh’s clean energy transition.
